Amanda Knox announced she's pregnant with her second child in a hilarious Instagram post. She's seen grinning in her backyard and “man-spreading” lazily holding a beer in one hand.
Amanda wears a green polkadot jumpsuit, the post is captioned ‘Pregspreading' and is tagged with the Oxford English Dictionary. It seems to be the 36-year-old's unique way of letting the world know that her second child with husband Christopher Robinson is on the way, she reports The mirror.
Amanda co-hosts the podcast “Labyrinths” with husband Christopher. In it, Spotify says the pair are “immersed in stories of getting lost and being found.”
They frequently interview fellow podcasters and experts on a variety of topics for “compassionate interviews, philosophical tirades, and playful debates.”
The news came as a surprise to many Knox supporters. Their first daughter, Eureka Muse, now two, was announced on the podcast in October 2021.
In an interview with The New York Times, Knox said she initially kept the birth a secret because she was concerned about the “paparazzi bounty” being placed on her bounty stemming from her court case in Italy.
In 2007, Knox was studying in Perugia, Italy, when her roommate, Meredith Kercher, was murdered. Knox, then 20, was wrongly convicted of the massacre, defamed and sent to prison for a few years before being exonerated at a retrial.
The ordeal drew a lot of media attention, including paparazzi stalking. On her podcast, Knox told listeners that she wanted Eureka's public image and her “privacy and autonomy” to be shaped of her own accord — something she said she was “denied” after her court hearings.
Based on her own experience, Amanda does not share pictures of Eureka on social media. She shared a picture of the child hugging her mother and not showing her face.
Although Knox's pregnancy announcement was more public than her previous one, it's not yet known if her second child will be featured more often on her social media platforms.
Several users flocked to the comments of her announcement post to express their congratulations.
“Omg Amanda!!!! I'm so happy for you!!!! Can't wait to meet the new addition,” wrote comedian Nicole Aimée Schreiber. “Oh this is AWESOME news and a bloody AWESOME picture!! Congratulations you are SO lucky and more than deserved,” added @kerrylama43.
The post received over 6,000 likes and more than 200 congratulatory comments.
