Britney Spears formed her legal team with stars' divorce attorney Laura Wasser during her split from Sam Asghari, a source exclusively tells Page Six.
An insider familiar with the situation confirmed to us on Wednesday that the pop star hired the powerhouse lawyer as her split from the Iranian-born actor is likely to turn into a bad argument in the courtroom.
A source exclusively told Page Six on Wednesday that Asghari, 29, is allegedly trying to change the terms of the prenup he and Spears, 41, signed.
The insider claimed that the “Family Business” actor “is trying to negotiate concessions beyond his marriage and threatens to release exceedingly embarrassing information about Britney if he doesn't get paid.”
Asghari officials did not respond to Page Six's request for comment on the allegations.
Spears' hiring of 55-year-old Wasser shouldn't come as a surprise, given that the “Piece of Me” singer hired the family law attorney at the time fought her ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody their two sons Sean Preston (now 17) and Jayden (now 16) in 2008.
At the time, a judge ordered Spears to pay 45-year-old Federline $20,000 a month in child support.
Wasser previously said her superstar client was happy with the verdict, telling reporters, “Britney is doing great. She's with her kids right now.”
The Los Angeles-based attorney has since taken on a number of high-profile clients including Kim Kardashian, Johnny Depp and more recently Kevin Costner and Joe Manganiello.
Wasser is a big advocate for everyone — not just celebrities — getting their finances in order before marriage.

Former federal prosecutor Mathew Rosengart, who suspended Spears from her 13-year conservatory tenure in November 2021, worked out the terms of the Grammy-winner's agreement with Asghari.
After the personal trainer suggested a bespoke ring in September 2021, the attorney later that month made sure Jamie Spears, his client's father and former conservator, did not interfere with the terms of the marriage contract.
Britney and Asghari's split comes more than a year after the estranged couple wed in June 2022 in a star-studded wedding at the “Toxic” singer's California home.
Sources said TMZ On Wednesday, the ‘Can You Keep a Secret' actor announced the relationship after he confronted the ‘Hold Me Closer' singer about rumors that she was cheating on him.
“It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce,” a source claimed.
Spears and Wasser representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment.
