Britney Spears isn’t concerned after Sam Asghari files for divorce and reveals she’s ‘buying a horse soon’
Britney Spears took to social media unfazed after her estranged husband Sam Asghari reportedly filed for divorce.
In her first Instagram post since the split was announced on Wednesday, the pop superstar revealed that she plans to buy a horse.
“Buying a horse soon 🐴!!! So many options it's quite difficult!!! A horse named Sophie and another named Roar 🐎 ??? I can't decide,” she said captioned a photo of himself sitting in the saddle on the beach.
“Should I join the camaraderie and put on a pink cowboy hat 😜 ??? Anyway, I think I found my favorite spot with Roar 😘!!!”
Earlier in the day, Page Six confirmed that Spears and Asghari had split after a year of marriage.
Hours later, multiple outlets reported that the Iranian-born actor, 29, had filed for divorce from the “Toxic” singer, 41.
According to TMZHe cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Asghari is also asking his estranged wife to pay spousal support and his legal fees.
He gave July 28 as the date of their separation.
Asghari reportedly wants Spears to pay him more than what her prenup stipulates in order to keep her secrets, Page Six exclusively learned.
A source tells us that the fitness trainer is “trying to negotiate concessions beyond his marriage preparation and is threatening to release exceedingly embarrassing information about Britney if he doesn't get paid.”
However, we're also told that the “Piece of Me” singer has hired high-profile divorce attorney Laura Wasser in the run-up to the upcoming legal battle.
The Los Angeles-based attorney's top clients also include Kim Kardashian, Johnny Depp, Kevin Costner and Joe Manganiello.

The former couple has reportedly been having troubles in paradise for some time.
Sources said TMZ On Wednesday, Asghari shared that Asghari had already moved out of her marital home following a “nuclear row” over Spears' alleged infidelity.
While it's unclear if the claims are true, an insider told TMZ that it's “only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce.”
The current ex-partners got engaged in September 2021 after almost five years of dating and tied the knot in June 2022.
Prior to her marriage to Asghari in 2004, the ‘Hold Me Closer' hitmaker was married to Jason Alexander for just 55 hours.
She married Kevin Federline later that year, but they separated three years later. The former backup dancer and Spears have two sons together: Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16.
