Taylor Swift’s wild wedding weekend on the Jersey Shore

Taylor Swift shone the spotlight on her friend and frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff's wedding to Margaret Qualley last weekend.
Hollywood descended on the beach community of Long Beach Island, New Jersey to celebrate the couple's connection, with Swift leading the star-studded troupe.
Fans eagerly awaited the various wedding events, trying to catch a glimpse of the celebrities during Antonoff and Qualley's special weekend.

Jack Antonoff is a musician best known as the lead singer of the band Bleachers as well as a prolific songwriter and producer.
Antonoff and Swift met in 2012 and he produced three songs on their Grammy-winning album 1989. He then went on to work on her next five albums, including Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights.

In addition to Swift, he also worked with The 1975, Lorde, Carly Rae Jepsen and Lana Del Rey, who was also a guest at the wedding.
Qualley, an Emmy-nominated actress, is the youngest daughter of Andie MacDowell and her ex-husband Peter Qualley.

The 28-year-old has starred in shows like The Leftovers and movies like The Nice Guys and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
She received rave reviews for her work in the 2021 Netflix series Maid, which also starred MacDowell, and earned her second Emmy nomination for the role. Her first was for her work on the FX series Fosse/Verdon.

According to People, the couple met in 2021 and got engaged last year.
Qualley had posted about the engagement on her now-deleted Instagram page. The post saw the couple share a kiss, with Qualley writing in the caption, “Oh I love him!” the outlet reported.

Antonoff and Qualley's rehearsal dinner was held Friday night at the Black Whale Bar & Fish House in Beach Haven on Long Beach Island. The eatery focuses on seafood, including a raw food bar featuring shrimp and oysters.
Not only were the couple spotted, but some of their famous guests, including Swift, Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz, were also photographed leaving the restaurant.
Swift's presence at the restaurant sparked a mob scene that saw fans swarm the streets.

According to a TikTok user who captured video of the chaos, the crowds grew outside and police struggled to contain them and keep the streets open. She added that they chanted “We want Taylor” and described the scene as “a madhouse.”

According to the Asbury Park Press, the ceremony took place at Parker's Garage, an upscale venue in Beach Haven not far from the Black Whale restaurant.
According to the venue's website, it first opened as a restaurant/houseboat rental in the early 1900s before morphing over the years into a variety of options including an oyster parlor.
They also seat 180 guests, according to their website, with bespoke menus and a “laid back beach style”.
The Asbury Park Press also reported that the reception was held at Bird and Betty's, a nearby nightspot that has a retro vibe and games like skee-ball.
Fox News Digital has reached out to both sites, but neither has been able to comment on the wedding.
According to Page Six, Swift hosted a toast to the newlyweds that was reportedly an affectionate toast, particularly from Antonoff.
According to the outlet, Del Rey serenaded the couple for their first dance and sang a song titled “Margaret,” which was said to be written about Qualley.

Swift wasn't the only celebrity attendee to garner attention at Antonoff and Qualley's wedding weekend.
Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz were in attendance. The duo has reportedly been together since 2021. They were spotted in looser ensembles at the rehearsal dinner as they exited the restaurant along with Swift, who wore a black two-piece dress.

Qualley's famous mother MacDowell was of course in attendance, as was her father Peter Qualley.

Swift's friend Cara Delevingne was also present at the wedding celebrations and was seen walking with her after the ceremony.

Swift wore a light blue lace dress for the occasion, with her hair and makeup kept simple save for her signature red lip.

Connection to Jersey Shore
Born and raised in New Jersey, Antonoff spent “every summer on Long Beach Island,” according to an interview the musician previously did with Asbury Park Press.

According to the outlet, Swift and her family also summered in nearby Cape May on the island while living in Reading, Pennsylvania, before relocating to Nashville.
In 2013, Antonoff took an island tour with “Today,” showcasing some of his favorite spots, some of which were affected by Hurricane Sandy and are still recovering.
